Please remember that, in addition to the State guidelines, clubs and leagues have their own protocols by which our teams must abide when playing at their facilities. As of this date, Pierce County is Phase II and soccer is considered a moderate risk sport.

Key Points:

  • Moderate risk sports are allowed to resume outdoor practices and competitions.
  • Soccer players, coaches, and volunteers must wear masks at all times.
  • Spectators must wear masks at all times.
  • Whenever possible, spectators must keep a 6-foot distance from anyone who resides outside of their household.
  • For outdoor facilities or complexes with more than one field or area of play, a maximum of 75 people allowed per field or area of play, including spectators.
  • Teams/clubs may set spectator limits per athlete and we must abide by the home team’s guidelines.
  • Athletes, coaches, referees, spectators and any other staff are required to stay home if they feel unwell, show any signs of COVID-19, or are a close contact of a confirmed case.
  • All coaches and athletes should be screened for signs/symptoms of COVID-19 prior to a workout. Screening should consider symptoms listed by the CDC.
  • Any person with symptoms of COVID-19 or who is a close contact of someone with confirmed COVID-19 should not be allowed to participate and should contact his or her primary care provider or other appropriate health-care professional. Those who are excluded from training or contests due to COVID-19 symptoms or because they are close contacts must follow DOH and local public health isolation and quarantine guidance before returning to training or contests.

It is critical that all players, coaches, volunteers, and spectators follow the above guidelines for both the health and safety of all those participating. Failure to do so may result in the removal of an athlete or staff or could lead to our teams being fined or prohibited from playing. We kindly ask that you help our kids out by following the State protocols so we can get back out on the pitch and play the game we love! Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
